    Wow! This is utterly marvelous, Lynn! I adore maidmers, and in fact I have two different maidmer rubber stamps: here's a postcard I made with one of them, and here you can see the other one (be sure to click for the larger version so you can see the detail). =grin=

      Oh, and not positive on who did the fish (I believe it's either Cuvier from about 1864, or a German biologist named Starck, same time period). Love old scientific illustrations, zoological charts, etc.
